How to view hidden files folders and drives in windows 10 -In all versions of windows operating system some files and folders are kept hidden due to some technical reasons but the users are provided option to view these hidden files and folders. Virus and malware also create hidden files and folders to cheat the users and to delete or take other adequate action user need to remove the hidden attribute of the malware folders. Therefore it is necessary to learn how to view hidden folders and files.

The procedure of setting to view hidden folders in old versions was different slightly in old version and the option was through control panel but in windows 10 you can do it in “File Explorer”. You can do it easily following these easy steps -

Click “File Explorer” icon.

Now the explorer will appear like the image given below-

Now click “View” as indicated in the image above –

Now an options button will appear in the right hand corner as indicated in the image below –

(Note-As a shortcut method, if you check the “Hidden items” it will solve your purpose and you will need not to go to the options button but I think you should follow the correct procedure as given below. If you want to use the short cut method, you are done and exit now and if you want to follow the correct procedure, complete the rest of the procedure given below.It will not take more than 10 seconds of your time)

To follow the rest of the procedure, now click the options button as indicated in the image above. Now another window will appear like the image given below-

Now click “View” again as indicated in the above image. Next option window will appear like this.

Now choose the option “Show hidden files, folders and drives” as indicated in the image above.

Click “OK” and you are done.

Now your computer will display all hidden files f
olders and drives.
